Submitted by London Link Group
From 9th to 11th October, 36 young people and 7 volunteers gathered at Watford Quaker Meeting House for a London Link Group weekend, the group’s first visit since 2013.
Highlights included baked potatoes for 47, a build-your-own “Quaker Subway” lunch, newspaper hockey, mafia, board games and a firepit epilogue in the Meeting House garden. On Saturday, Michael led a session on Nonviolent Communication and how it can help put the Peace Testimony into everyday practice, and on Sunday those who wished joined Meeting for Worship.
Everyone went home a little tired, but with friendships nourished and hearts heartened.
